Things DO change when you have a baby!
- You will have to sacrifice to have a child and to raise it.
- You will respect your parents and love them in a new way.
- You find that your baby’s pain feels much worse than your own.
- You will lose touch with the people in your life.
- Your heart breaks much more easily.
- You will have to think of someone else all day long.
- Bodily functions happen on a continuum and are continually repulsive.
- You will have to be selfless.
- You will have to become a morning person.
- You will have to sacrifice buying things for yourself so the baby can have diapers, cloths and food.
- You will be going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night when all of your friends are still out.
- You no longer rely on a clock, your baby now sets your schedule, the baby is continually hungry or continually needs a diaper.
- You will get the ‘Can’t-they-shut-him-up?’ screaming child look.
- You learn that taking a shower is a luxury.
- It will surprise you that the people that said they would help and support you don’t follow through.
- Nothing is just yours any longer. You share EVERYTHING!
